Welcome to our series of reviews of trading websites. Today we are going to be looking into the xtb website – design, services, trading platform, etc. Enjoy!
Simplicity is the theme, for the homepage of xtb, there is very little text on it and the page is fairly short and concise. This theme is followed on the entire web, which is a nice change of pace from most trading websites. This does not mean that there is a lack of information. Web design of xtb is one of the best we have seen.
News and other information
This website has a traditional news section with several articles published every day. In addition, there is the usual economic calendar. In addition, xtb offers a fairly comprehensive series of trading course and live webinars for new investors.
The range of services offered is standard amongst brokers nowadays. You can trade forex, indices, commodities, stocks and cryptocurrencies. Since xtb group is based in Belize, you may get a higher leverage in some countries, than you would get with companies based in Cyprus. Unlike many other brokers, xtb charges commission for the sale of some instruments (stock CFD’s). Minimum spread offered is 0,35 for standard accounts.
When trading with xtb you can choose between xStation 5 and MT4. This is largely a choice based on visual preference as both can be used either as a web trader, or downloaded as an app. To sign up, you need to supply some personal information, but there is no verification. There is a separate demo account which is limited to 30 days. Both of the platforms are much like the website, lean and simple. So simple in fact that some new traders might find them difficult to use correctly. On group that we cannot recommend this website are people with sight issues, since all the buttons are very small. While some of the functions are a bit hidden, you can select all the usual parameters for each trade such as stop-loss or take profit. You can view and read news inside the application, access market sentiment and other tools such as heat map of currencies.
Conclusion and information about broker
This broker is one of the best we have reviewed, the web design is excellent as is the range of the auxiliary services. The trading app, while not bad is not as good though. Unlike most other brokers, xtb group is based in Belize, which means that many EU regulations do not fully apply to it, this can be both a good and a bad thing. The group also has offices in quite a few countries.
